With the theme of ‘Innovation and Sustainability in Healthcare’, the 2023 edition of Arab Health was hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 30th Jan-2nd Feb 2023. The show saw participation from 3000 exhibitors from 70 countries around the globe. Parmjit Arora’s Health Biotech, one of the leading pharma companies in India, also exhibited at the event and showcased the upcoming innovations in India’s healthcare sector.
Arab Health is a name long associated with healthcare trade shows. Since its inception in 1975, it’s regarded as one of the World’s largest medical conferences. It is supported by the UAE Ministry of Health, the Abu Dhabi Health Authority, the Dubai Health Authority, and the Dubai Healthcare City Authority. According to a GRS Explore Exhibitor Survey, Arab Health secured AED2.8 billion worth of healthcare industry-related contracts during the 2022 edition, held in Dubai in January last year. The 2023 edition of the show featured nine product sectors, displaying the latest technology and innovations in disposables, orthopedics, healthcare and general services, medical devices, imaging, IT, wellness and prevention, and infrastructure and assets.
Health Biotech participated in the event and demonstrated the latest advancements in the pharma sector and how their company is contributing to uplifting the domestic pharma industry. “The event provided us with a huge platform to interact with the global pharma manufacturers. We interacted with the market players and learned about the upcoming technologies. We already have our presence in 57+ countries and are actively working to consolidate our presence in other emerging world markets, and Arab Health sure did provide us the necessary push,” said the Health Biotech Director, Parmjit Arora.
The global trade show plays a significant role in providing momentum to UAE Government’s initiatives such as ‘Make it in the Emirates’, a platform for developing the UAE’s industrial sector and enhancing its role in the national economy by focusing on 11 priority sectors, including pharmaceuticals and medical technology. Internal Medicine, Paediatrics Anaesthesia and Pain Management were new additions to the conferences this year. Popular returning tracks included Obs & Gyne, Orthopaedics, Total Radiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Quality Management.

The transformation zone at the event included start-up companies and innovators. They displayed their latest products and also talked about the future at the ‘Transformational Talks.’ The Innov8 Talks provided start-ups and entrepreneurs from around the world an excellent opportunity to present their healthcare-related innovations to a panel of industry experts as well as potential investors.
10 Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences took place during the four days of Arab Health 2023 and welcomed more than 3000 delegates and 550 international speakers. Under sustainability themes, Informa Markets introduced the ‘Better Stands’ initiative, which encouraged exhibitors to move away from disposable exhibition stands and ensured that all core elements, such as archways and counters, were constructed in a way where they could be reused. Arab Health was also powered by renewable energy.
